The Comité's most important – at least as far as the active participants are concerned – and at the same time most time-consuming task is to raise funds and then to distribute them as fairly as possible to the nearly 500 groups registered as active participants in the main parades on Monday and Wednesday afternoon.

The main source of revenue comes from the sale of badges and the «Drummeli». The Comité also earns income from sales of the «Rädäbäng» (Fasnacht guide) and the «Zeedel» (flyers), and receives some voluntary donations from shops, restaurants and institutions.

These funds are distributed to the cliques on the basis of the number of participants (75 % of the grants), as well as the quality of their presentations (25 %).
